There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Adanaspor (7-14) edged higher ranked Orman Genc (12-9) in Ankara 86-83 on Saturday. It was a good game for American center Jason Keep (208-78, college: San Diego) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Naturalized Uzbekistani guard Denktas Guney (190-78) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Canadian forward Ryan Wright (206-87, college: Oklahoma) answered with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Sinan Ozgur added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Orman Genc. Five Adanaspor and four Orman Genc players scored in double figures. Orman Genc's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted Adanaspor maintains tenth place in Group A with 7-14 record. Orman Genc lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with nine games lost. Adanaspor will face higher ranked Pertevniyal (#7) in Istanbul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Orman Genc will play on the road against Usak and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
