The game in Bursa was also quite interesting. 4th placed Usak (14-7) played at the court of sixth ranked Final Genclik (11-10). Final Genclik defeated Usak 73-62 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Usak. It was a good game for Costa Rican center Hernold Gardener (205-82, college: Lon Morris JC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Gokhan Senol (183-84, agency: EM-PA) contributed with 13 points and 4 assists for the winners. Swingman Ufuk Yanar (197-81) answered with 11 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Larry Smith (193-83, college: Post) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Usak. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Final Genclik. They maintain sixth place in Group A with 11-10 record. Loser Usak keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Final Genclik will face Darussafaka (#8) in Istanbul in the next round. Usak will play at home against Orman Genc (#5) in Ankara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
