Important game to mention about took place in Kapfenberg. Third ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (18-10) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (14-14) 74-73 on Saturday evening. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Furstenfeld Panthers outrebounded Kapfenberg Bulls 45-26 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Shawn Ray (194-80, college: N.C.Central, agency: Court Side) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78, agency: World Sport Agency) supported him with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Even 19 points and 4 steals by the former international guard Armin Woschank (184-82) did not help to save the game for Kapfenberg Bulls. American forward Larry Gordon (196-87, college: Cal Poly Pomona, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) added 16 points. Four Kapfenberg Bulls players scored in double figures. Furstenfeld Panthers maintains third position in Bundesliga with 18-10 record having just -2 point less than leader Wels. Kapfenberg Bulls at the other side keep the fifth place with 14 games lost. Furstenfeld Panthers will play against Oberwart Gunners (#4) at home in the next round. Kapfenberg Bulls will play against the league's second-placed Arkadia Lions in Traiskirchen and hope to get back on the winning track.
