Rather expected game when 13th ranked BC Kyiv (9-29) lost to eleventh ranked Halychyna (14-26) in Lviv 76-86 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Halychyna. BC Kyiv was better in second period 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Halychyna shot 64.6 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Halychyna especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 71.4 percentage. Quite impressive performance for American guard Nick Williams (192-83, college: Cincinnati, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The other American import forward Alan Wiggins (206-84, college: USF) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Oleg Saltovets (202-77) replied with 14 points and 6 rebounds and guard Oleksandr Lypovyy (200-91) added 15 points in the effort for BC Kyiv. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BC Kyiv's coach Vitaliy Cherniy rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Halychyna maintains eleventh position with 14-26 record. BC Kyiv lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 29 lost games. Halychyna will face higher ranked Ferro-ZNTU (#5) in Zaporozhye in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
