Undefeated leader Dunav 2007 delivered the sixteenth consecutive win on Sunday night. This time they crushed 9th ranked Chavdar (4-12) 110-62 in Ruse. The game without a history. Dunav 2007 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Chavdar's 30. Dunav 2007 forced 22 Chavdar turnovers and outrebounded them 47-31 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Chavdar's players. The best player for the winners was power forward Vladimir Nikolov (205-88, college: Garrett JC) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Forward Lyuben Paskov (198-90) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Dunav 2007 players scored in double figures. Dunav 2007's coach Nikolay Gospodinov felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Petar Hristov (194-90) who recorded 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Krasimir Koev (202-81) added 7 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Dunav 2007 (16-0) have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 16 victories in a row. Chavdar at the other side keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. Dunav 2007 are looking forward to face NSA (#5) in Sofia in the next round. Chavdar will play at home against Balkan 2 (#6) in Botevgrad and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
