Regular Season Round 41: Khimik - BC Donetsk 70-64

There was a change at the Superleague leadership position after last games. Round 41 most important game was a defeat of league's leader BC Donetsk (29-10). They were defeated by twelfth ranked Khimik (12-28) 70-64 on Tuesday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of BC Donetsk. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 39-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American guard Curtis Millage (185-81, college: Arizona St.) stepped up and scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Bosnian power forward Edin Bavcic (210-84, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. American power forward J.K. Edwards (202-82, college: UNLV) responded with 8 points and 11 rebounds and Bosnian swingman Jasmin Hukic (204-79, agency: Beo Basket) scored 16 points. BC Donetsk's coach Sasa Obradovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Khimik maintains twelfth place with 12-28 record. Newly promoted BC Donetsk dropped to the second position with ten games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Budivelnyk. BC Donetsk will play next round against strong Azovmash trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Khimik will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Dnipro in Dnepropetrovsk.
