Regular Season Round 25: Braves - Hannover 86-80

Date: March 18, 2011
Very predictable result when fifth ranked Saar-Pfalz Braves (15-9) won against 10th ranked Hannover Tigers (10-15) in Homburg 86-80 on Friday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Hannover Tigers were trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 27-19 charge of Saar-Pfalz Braves, which allowed them to win the game. Quite impressive performance for American guard Stephen Cramer (188-84, college: Hope, MI) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Tasheed Carr (193-85, college: St.Joseph's) contributed with 19 points for the winners. American forward Brad Byerson (201-85, college: Virginia Union) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Canadian guard Stuart Turnbull (188-84) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Hannover Tigers. The victory was the third consecutive win for Saar-Pfalz Braves. They maintain fifth place with 15-9 record. Loser Hannover Tigers keep the tenth position with 15 games lost. Saar-Pfalz Braves will face league's leader Bayern Muenchen on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hannover Tigers will play against Dragons Rhoendorf (#16).
