Important game to mention about took place in Pakruojis. Fourth ranked Meresta (25-16) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 3rd placed Mazeikiai (25-16) 66-64 in the fight for the third place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Mazeikiai. Mazeikiai was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 16-12 charge of Meresta, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for guard Simonas Slivka (194-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Mindaugas Kumpis (202-82) helped adding 10 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Bryan Harrison (188-84, college: Georgia Coll.) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists and the other American import swingman Jason Warren (201-84, college: Missouri Western) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Meresta moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Mazeikiai. Meresta will play against LKKA-Atletas (#5) in Kaunas in the next round. Mazeikiai will play at home against the league's second-placed Radviliskis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
