Very significant was Lemminkainen's (#2, 15-7) victory against 3rd placed Laisve (14-10) 75-69. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Laisve. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Laisve won fourth quarter 20-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lemminkainen dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Laisve's 36. Lemminkainen forced 19 Laisve turnovers and outrebounded them 51-31 including 19 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Rima Margeviciute (191-81, college: Liberty) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds. The former international guard Egle Zygelyte (166-84) accounted for 12 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side. The former international guard Ligita Kinkeviciene (173-76) came up with 16 points and 5 assists and forward Egle Taraseviciute (182-90) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Laisve in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Lemminkainen maintains second place with 15-7 record having eleven points less than leader VICI Kaunas. Laisve at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. Lemminkainen will play against MRU (#5) in Vilnius in the next round. Laisve will have a break next round.
