There was a small surprise in Kaunas where eighth ranked Perlas-MRU (18-24) smashed 6th ranked Zalgiris-Sabonio (22-20) 97-62 on Saturday. The game without a history. Perlas-MRU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Mantas Kazonas (202-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and guard Evaldas Lengvinas (190-89) who added 20 points during the contest. Five Perlas-MRU players scored in double figures. Forward Zygimantas Skucas (200-92) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds and center Gediminas Zyle (209-88) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Perlas-MRU finished in the eighth position with 18-24 record. Loser Zalgiris-Sabonio stayed at the sixth place with 20 games lost.
