NKL top team - Pieno Zvaigzdes (41-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Nafta Universitetas (21-21) in Pasvalys 103-55. The game without a history. Pieno Zvaigzdes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Nafta Universitetas to just 7 points in first quarter. Pieno Zvaigzdes dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Nafta Universitetas' 34. Pieno Zvaigzdes forced 27 Nafta Universitetas turnovers and outrebounded them 50-28 including a 23-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of center Remigijus Trakimas (205-87) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and center Arturas Masiulis (210-80) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five Pieno Zvaigzdes players scored in double figures. Pieno Zvaigzdes' coach Rimantas Endrijaitis felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Tadas Klimas (197-88) responded with 13 points and forward Donatas Norkus (196-90) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Pieno Zvaigzdes have an impressive six-game winning streak. They clinched the first position with 41-1 record. Nafta Universitetas lost fourth consecutive game. They slipped at the seventh place with 21 games lost.
