We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 4th placed Galitos FC (12-7) lost on the road to fifth ranked Sangalhos (12-7) 60-52 on Sunday. Galitos FC trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 18-10 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 52-60 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Joao Carmo (183-85) who helped to win the game recording 15 points. Forward Nuno Bizarro (192-80) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Malcolm Thomas (196-85, college: Widener) answered with 21 points and 8 rebounds and forward Rui Quintino (196-83) added 9 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Galitos FC. Sangalhos moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Galitos FC. Sangalhos will face Electrico FC (#8) in Ponte de Sor in the next round. Galitos FC will play at home against Seixal (#12).
