We should mention about the upset which took place in Yuzhny, where higher ranked Dnipro (19-19) lost to twelfth ranked Khimik (13-28) in a road game 86-95 on Monday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 95-86. Khimik made 20-of-21 free shots (95.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Alexander Kolchenko (198-88) who scored 19 points. American forward Akida McLain (206-86, college: Indiana, PA) chipped in 16 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (204-89) who recorded 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American guard Steve Burtt (185-84, college: Iona) added 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively.
