Regular Season Round 42: Khimik - Dnipro 95-86

We should mention about the upset which took place in Yuzhny, where higher ranked Dnipro (19-19) lost to twelfth ranked Khimik (13-28) in a road game 86-95 on Monday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 95-86. Khimik made 20-of-21 free shots (95.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Alexander Kolchenko (198-88) who scored 19 points. American forward Akida McLain (206-86, college: Indiana, PA) chipped in 16 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (204-89) who recorded 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American guard Steve Burtt (185-84, college: Iona) added 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Five Khimik and four Dnipro players scored in double figures. Khimik maintains twelfth position with 13-28 record. Loser Dnipro keeps the eighth place with 19 games lost. Khimik will face league's leader Budivelnyk in Kyiv in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
