Thirteenth-ranked BC Kyiv (10-31) was very close to win a game against fifth ranked Ferro-ZNTU (23-18) in Zaporozhye. Ferro-ZNTU managed to secure only three-point victory 90-87. However their fans expected much easier game. BC Kyiv was ahead by 8 points after three quarters before a 22-14 charge of Ferro-ZNTU, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 12-9. Ferro-ZNTU players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by BC Kyiv helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Christian Burns (203-85, college: Philadelphia, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds for the winners.
