No shocking result in a game when third ranked BC Vienna (13-17) beat 6th ranked Worthersee Piraten (2-28) in Wien 74-60. The game without a history. BC Vienna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. BC Vienna outrebounded Worthersee Piraten 39-24 including a 32-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by Worthersee Piraten helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American swingman Spencer Rhynes (196-74, college: Huston-Tillotson) who scored 27 points and 6 rebounds. Bosnian-Croatian center Alen Trepalovac (214-85, agency: World Sport Agency) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds. Four BC Vienna players scored in double figures. Power forward Bernhard Weber (201-87) produced 15 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American guard Bilal Abdullah (196-84, college: Lafayette) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Worthersee Piraten's coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BC Vienna maintains third position in Bundesliga with 13-17 record having four points less than leader Wels. Worthersee Piraten at the other side keeps the sixth place with 28 games lost. BC Vienna's next round opponent will be league's leader Raiffeisen Wels on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week.
