Regular Season Round 43: Azovmash - Hoverla 82-77

The game between third ranked Hoverla (26-17) and fourth ranked Azovmash (26-15) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Hoverla was defeated by Azovmash in a tough game in Mariupol 77-82. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Charles Thomas (203-86, college: Arkansas) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Ramel Curry (191-80, college: CSU Bakersfield) contributed with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Jeremy Chappell (191-87, college: Robert Morris, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds and center Eric Coleman (200-85, college: N.Iowa, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Hoverla. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hoverla's coach Evgeni Murzin rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Hoverla at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 17 games lost. Azovmash are looking forward to face Ferro-ZNTU (#5) in Zaporozhye in the next round. Hoverla will play at home against BC Odessa and is hoping to win this game.
