Very expected game when 11th ranked Halychyna (14-29) was smashed on the road by second ranked BC Donetsk (31-11) 84-65 on Saturday. The game without a history. BC Donetsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Halychyna's 30. Halychyna was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Serbian-Bosnian guard Sasa Vasiljevic (183-79, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). International center Viacheslav Kravtsov (212-87, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four BC Donetsk players scored in double figures. American center Harold Jamison (204-76, college: Clemson) answered with 13 points and 5 rebounds and guard Pavel Revzin (194-83) added 11 points in the effort for Halychyna. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted BC Donetsk maintains second place with 31-11 record behind leader Budivelnyk. Halychyna lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 29 games lost. BC Donetsk will face Mykolaiv (#6) in Mykolaiv in the next round. Halychyna will play on the road against Azovmash (#3) in Mariupol.
