The game in Botevgrad was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked NSA (10-8) played at the court of 6th ranked Balkan 2 (8-9). NSA defeated Balkan 2 92-80. It looked good early as Balkan 2 took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then NSA had a 22-18 second period charge getting the lead and Balkan 2 was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 80-92. They outrebounded Balkan 2 39-18 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Kalin Hristov who scored that evening 25 points and 8 assists and power forward Danail Hristov (195-90) supported him with 15 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five NSA players scored in double figures. Even 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by forward Ivaylo Vuchkov (200-90) did not help to save the game for Balkan 2. Forward Georgi Boyanov (195-93) added 21 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. NSA maintains fifth position with 10-8 record. Balkan 2 lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventh place with nine games lost. NSA's next round opponent will be Cherno More U18 (#8) in Varna. Balkan 2 will play on the road against the league's second-placed Academik Plovdiv.
