The game in Klagenfurt supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked St.Polten (12-19) played at the court of 6th ranked Worthersee Piraten (2-29). St.Polten smashed Worthersee Piraten 96-66 on Sunday. The game without a history. St.Polten led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. It was a good game for the former international guard Thomas Schreiner (195-87, agency: R.H.Consultancy) who led his team to a victory with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Forward Tomislav Gaspar (198-83) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four St.Polten players scored in double figures. American forward Erik Rhinehart (206-82, college: Olivet Nazarene) answered with 15 points and the other American import guard Bilal Abdullah (196-84, college: Lafayette) added 12 points in the effort for Worthersee Piraten. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. St.Polten maintains fifth place in Bundesliga with 12-19 record. Loser Worthersee Piraten keeps the sixth position with 29 games lost. St.Polten will face higher ranked Gussing Knights (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Worthersee Piraten will play against the league's leader Raiffeisen Wels.
