Second Stage Round 2: Capljina - Mladost 68-80

An interesting game was also tough home defeat of 3rd ranked Capljina Lasta in a game versus Mladost (#5) 80-68. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Mladost. Capljina Lasta managed to win third quarter 25-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Serbian power forward Ranko Velimirovic (203-72, agency: Beo Basket) notched 20 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Montenegrin center Milos Komatina (204-84) supported him with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Mladost players scored in double figures. Mladost's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists by Serbian guard Stefan Fekete (188-86, agency: Beo Basket) did not help to save the game for Capljina Lasta. Naturalized Croatian power forward Jozo Brkic (211-86) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Mladost (1-1) left bottom position moving up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Capljina Lasta at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Mladost will meet at home league's leader Igokea in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Capljina Lasta will play against Borac Nektar (#5) in Banja Luka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
