The game in Klaipeda was also quite interesting. Third ranked Rudupis (15-6) played at the court of 7th ranked Neptunas (9-12). Rudupis defeated Neptunas 89-74 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Neptunas. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-74. The winners were led by power forward Giedrius Jankauskas (206-81) who scored that evening 25 points and forward Justinas Sinica (203-85) supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Even 12 points by Latvian forward Arturs Brunins (200-82) did not help to save the game for Neptunas. The former international forward Valdas Vasylius (203-83, college: ODU) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Rudupis maintains third position with 15-6 record having eight points less than leader Zalgiris. Loser Neptunas keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. Rudupis will meet at home Nevezis (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Neptunas will play against Siauliai and hope to secure a win.
