Regular Season Round 27: Braves - Dragons 73-70

Sixteenth-ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (7-20) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Saar-Pfalz Braves (16-10) in Homburg on Sunday. Saar-Pfalz Braves managed to secure only three-point victory 73-70. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 20-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American guard Jason Jamerson (188-86, college: Grand Valley St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Max Weber (201-85) helped adding 10 points and 5 assists. Saar-Pfalz Braves' coach Nenad Josipovic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American forward Sanijay Watts (193-87, college: Cent.Missouri, agency: Limelight Hoops) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and center Jonas Wohlfarth-Bottermann (207-90, agency: Court Side) scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Dragons Rhoendorf players scored in double figures. Saar-Pfalz Braves moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Osnabrueck. Dragons Rhoendorf lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 20 games lost. Saar-Pfalz Braves will meet GiroLive-Ballers (#5) in the next round. Dragons Rhoendorf will play against BV Chemnitz 99 (#3) and hope to secure a win.
