Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Beograd: Partizan (#3) and Crvena Zvezda (#5). Partizan (4-1) crushed visiting Crvena Zvezda (1-3) by 41 points 118-77. The game without a history. Partizan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They were well out of reach of Crvena Zvezda shooting 70.8 percent from the field and made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Partizan had a 27-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Crvena Zvezda's players. American guard Curtis Jerrells (185-87, college: Baylor) stepped up and scored 17 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and Czech forward Jan Vesely (211-90) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. Five Partizan players scored in double figures. Partizan's coach Vlada Jovanovic felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Uros Nikolic (207-87) responded with 24 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Sava Lesic (205-88) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Hemofarm and Radnicki. Loser Crvena Zvezda dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. Partizan will meet at home Mega Vizura (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Crvena Zvezda's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beograd FMP Zeleznik.
