Regular Season Round 46: Hoverla - Mykolaiv 78-80

The most exciting game of round 46 in the Superleague took place in Frankivsk. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Hoverla (28-18) to sixth ranked Mykolaiv (24-20) 80-78 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hoverla. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 21-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Brian Greene (196-83, college: Florida A&M) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Artem Butskyy (185-81) contributed with 16 points for the winners. American guard Jeremy Chappell (191-87, college: Robert Morris, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) replied with 14 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Derrick Zimmerman (189-81, college: Mississippi St., agency: Pro One Sports) added 12 points and 7 assists in the effort for Hoverla. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Mykolaiv moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ferro-ZNTU. Hoverla at the other side keeps the fourth position with 18 games lost. Mykolaiv is looking forward to face Halychyna (#10) in Lviv in the next round where they are favorite. Hoverla will have a break next round.
