Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Bursa: Tofas (#9) and Oyak Renault (#16). Oyak Renault was defeated at home 66-81 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Tofas outrebounded Oyak Renault 38-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. Forward Ilkan Karaman (205-90) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side and American swingman Austin Nichols (198-82, college: Humboldt St.) accounted for 13 points. Five Tofas players scored in double figures. Tofas' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard William Conroy (187-82, college: Washington) came up with 13 points and 8 assists and swingman Ogun Sevinc (198-88, agency: 1x1 Sports) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Oyak Renault in the defeat. Tofas maintains ninth place with 10-15 record. Oyak Renault lost ninth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Tofas will meet at home league's leader Fenerbahce Ulker in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Oyak Renault will play against the league's second-placed Galatasaray (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
