Very predictable result when second ranked s Oliver Baskets (21-7) won against 10th ranked Hannover Tigers (11-17) in Wuerzburg 77-73. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 18-8 Hannover Tigers' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 77-73 at the end of the game. British-Australian guard Lee Jeka (187-83) fired 18 points for the winners. American guard Timothy Burnette (188-82, college: Tarleton St.) chipped in 19 points. Four s Oliver Baskets players scored in double figures. s Oliver Baskets' coach Marcel Schroeder allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Canadian guard Stuart Turnbull (188-84) produced 18 points and naturalized Canadian guard Steve Janzen (191-82) added 15 points respectively for lost side. s Oliver Baskets have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted s Oliver Baskets maintains second position with 21-7 record having six points less than leader B.Muenchen. Hannover Tigers at the other side keep the tenth place with 17 games lost. s Oliver Baskets' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (#16) on the road which should be an easy win for them.
