Quarter-Finals Round 1: Szolnok - PVSK Pannon 97-68

The game was mostly controlled by Szolnok. PVSK Pannon was better in second period 25-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Szolnok dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to PVSK Pannon's 34. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by PVSK Pannon's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Obie Trotter (186-84, college: Alabama A&M, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. The former international center Marton Bader (212-80, agency: Laszlo Vinko Services) contributed with 18 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Szolnok players scored in double figures. Szolnok's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Muhammad El-Amin (196-87, college: Stony Brook) answered with 29 points and Croatian guard Josip Glavinic (192-82) added 8 points and 5 assists in the effort for PVSK Pannon.
