Very predictable result when third ranked Banvit (19-6) won against 13th ranked Mersin (7-18) in Balikesir 84-74 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 29-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Banvit outrebounded Mersin 37-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. The former international guard Baris Ermis (194-85) nailed 12 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side and Montenegrin-Serbian center Vladimir Golubovic (213-86) accounted for 20 points and 8 rebounds.
