TBL top team - Fenerbahce Ulker (23-3) added another victory to their record on Friday. This time they beat ninth ranked Tofas (10-16) in Bursa 81-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tofas. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-7. But Tofas won second period 20-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fenerbahce Ulker dominated on the defensive end, holding Tofas to just 7 points in first quarter. The best player for the winners was Croatian guard Roko-Leni Ukic (195-84) who scored 24 points and 6 assists. The former international guard Omer Onan (194-78) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Croatian center Jurica Zuza (207-78, agency: Alti Sport) produced 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American guard Jason Rowe (178-78, college: Loyola, MD) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Tofas' coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Fenerbahce Ulker have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 23-3 record. Loser Tofas keeps the ninth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Turk Telekom. Fenerbahce Ulker will meet at home league's second-placed Galatasaray in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tofas will play against Besiktas (#5) in Istanbul and hope to secure a win.
