Semi-Finals Game 1: Lugano Tigers - Monthey 91-71

Lugano Tigers cruised past Monthey in the opener. The game was mostly controlled by Lugano Tigers. Monthey was better in second period 27-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-22 charity shots (90.9 percent) during the game. Lugano Tigers outrebounded Monthey 40-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. American center Sean Finn (212-82, college: Dayton) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and American-Nigerian guard Michael Efevberha (196-84, college: Cal.St. Northridge) chipped in 26 points and 4 steals. At the losing side American-Jamaican forward Ronald Yates (201-83, college: St.Peter's, agency: SportsList Inc.) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and international guard Steeve Louissaint (190-87) scored 13 points and 5 steals. Four Monthey players scored in double figures. Monthey's coach Thibaut Petit rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
