Regular Season Round 50: Azovmash - BC Kyiv 88-73

Not a big story in a game in Mariupol where 13th ranked BC Kyiv (11-37) was defeated by third ranked Azovmash (30-18) 88-73 on Sunday. The game without a history. Azovmash led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was American forward Charles Thomas (203-86, college: Arkansas) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Croatian power forward Drago Pasalic (208-84) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Azovmash players scored in double figures. Guard Pavlo Burenko (188-90) produced 19 points and swingman Ruslan Otverchenko (192-90) added 17 points respectively for the guests. BC Kyiv's coach Vitaliy Cherniy tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains third position with 30-18 record having seven points less than leader BC Donetsk, which they share with Hoverla. BC Kyiv lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 37 lost games.
