No shocking result in a game in Oldenburg where sixth ranked EWE Baskets (20-14) won against bottom-ranked Gloria Giants (7-27) 77-64 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 42-22 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Lithuanian guard Mindaugas Lukauskis (198-79) fired 13 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Serbian power forward Oliver Stevic (204-84) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Five EWE Baskets players scored in double figures. American guard DeAndre Haynes (187-84, college: Kent St.) produced 14 points and 5 rebounds and Bosnian center Esmir Rizvic (213-82, college: Texas Tech) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. EWE Baskets moved-up to fifth place, which they share with NY Phantoms. Loser Gloria Giants stay dead last with 27 lost games.
