There was no surprise when 15th ranked Science City Jena (8-20) was crushed on the road by eighth ranked Crailsheim Merlins (15-13) 107-76 on Saturday. The game without a history. Crailsheim Merlins led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Science City Jena's 32. Crailsheim Merlins forced 24 Science City Jena turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Science City Jena's players. American guard Ryan Anderson (193-87, college: Nebraska) scored 21 points to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Frank Young (196-84, college: W.Virginia) chipped in 21 points during the contest. Coach Ingo Enskat's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players saving starting five for next games.
