Regular Season Round 30: Braves - Cuxhaven 71-84

We should mention about the upset which took place in Homburg, where higher ranked Saar-Pfalz Braves (16-12) lost at home to thirteenth ranked Cuxhaven BasCats (11-17) 71-84 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Cuxhaven BasCats. Saar-Pfalz Braves managed to win third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cuxhaven BasCats looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Guard Aaron Cook (186-83, college: Hartford) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds and 14 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Deilvez Yearby (198-87, college: IPFW) chipped in 17 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was power forward Theodis Tarver (206-84, college: Georgia Tech) with 14 points and 9 rebounds and guard Stephen Cramer (188-84, college: Hope, MI) scored 19 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cuxhaven BasCats moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Hannover. Loser Saar-Pfalz Braves keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Kirchheim. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
