The game in Sostanj supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Union Olimpija (5-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Elektra (1-7). Union Olimpija smashed Elektra 84-49. The game without a history. Union Olimpija led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Elektra's 32. Union Olimpija forced 20 Elektra turnovers. The former international forward Goran Jagodnik (203-74, agency: Beo Basket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized FYR Macedonian guard Vlado Ilievski (190-80, agency: World Sport Agency) contributed with 11 points, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Five Union Olimpija players scored in double figures. Center Salih Nuhanovic (209-82) replied with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Brane Lekic (206-90) added 8 points in the effort for Elektra. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Union Olimpija moved-up to third place, which they share with Zlatorog. Elektra at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Maribor Messer. Union Olimpija will play against league's second-placed Helios in Domzale in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Elektra will play at home against the league's leader Krka (#1) in Novo Mesto to get more than just one victory in their record.
