Important game to mention about took place in Istanbul. Fourth ranked Efes Pilsen (21-8) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Besiktas (18-11) 86-83 on Saturday evening. Besiktas was ahead by 9 points after three quarters before a 23-11 charge of Efes Pilsen, which allowed them to win the game. Serbian guard Igor Rakocevic (191-78) nailed 18 points for the winning side and American power forward Erwin Dudley (204-81, college: Alabama, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 10 points and 9 rebounds. Australian center Andrew James Ogilvy (211-88, college: Vanderbilt) came up with 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international guard Serkan Erdogan (190-78, agency: 1x1 Sports) added 17 points and 6 assists respectively for Besiktas in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Efes Pilsen maintains fourth place with 21-8 record. Besiktas at the other side keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. Efes Pilsen will play against Olin Edirne (#7) at home in the next round. Besiktas will play against Mersin in Akdeniz and hopes to get back on the winning track.
