The game without a history. Unics Kazan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Unics Kazan players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. BC Nizhny Novgorod was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Polish-Swedish center Maciej Lampe (210-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. American guard Terrell Lyday (190-79, college: BYU) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Forward Artem Yakovenko (206-88, agency: RU-Basket Management) answered with 19 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian guard Nemanja Protic (182-86) added 20 points and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) in the effort for BC Nizhny Novgorod. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
