Quarter-Finals Round 2: Krasnie Krilya - CSKA 92-81
Date: May 26, 2011
The game was mostly controlled by Krasnie Krilya. CSKA Moscow was better in second period 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Krasnie Krilya dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to CSKA Moscow's 20. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American-Bosnian guard Ernest Bremer (195-80, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Higher Vision Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 assists to lead the effort and American guard Brion Rush (186-84, college: Grambling St., agency: Court Side) supported him with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by the former international guard J.R. Holden (185-76, college: Bucknell) did not help to save the game for CSKA Moscow. The former international swingman Viktor Khryapa (204-82) added 14 points for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. CSKA Moscow's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
