A very close game took place in Duesseldorf between Gloria Giants and Kirchheim Knights. Leader Gloria Giants (1-0) got a very close home victory over bottom-ranked Kirchheim Knights (0-1). Gloria Giants managed to escape with a 2-point win 71-69 on Sunday evening. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. Gloria Giants will meet BG Karlsruhe (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Kirchheim Knights will play against Science City Jena and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
