Regular Season Round 1: Targu Mures - Iasi 74-54

An interesting game took place in Targu Mures where bottom-ranked Iasi (0-1) was upset on the court of leader Targu Mures (1-0) 74-54. It was a key game for the top position in the league. It looked good early as Iasi took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Targu Mures had a 19-8 second period charge getting the lead and Iasi was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 54-74. Center Ceciley Johnson (188, college: W.Texas A&M) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds and guard Danielle Walker (178-86, college: Clark Atlanta) added 7 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Iasi. Targu Mures keep a position of league leader, which they share with 7 other teams. Iasi at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
