An interesting game for SISU (2-0) which hosted in Copenhagen Vaerlose (1-1). Top-ranked SISU had an easy win 89-44. The game without a history. SISU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Vaerlose to 0 points in fourth quarter and to 12 points in second half. SISU held Vaerlose to an opponent 23.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.8 percent accuracy of the winners. SISU forced 21 Vaerlose turnovers and outrebounded them 44-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. American center Stephanie Madden (182-88, college: Langston) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Kiki Lund (177-83, college: Dayton) supported her with 16 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Four SISU players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds by American forward Jaimie McFarlin (180-89, college: Wash.-St.Louis) did not help to save the game for Vaerlose. Naturalized Saudi Arabian guard Hanna Sheikh (180-92) added 9 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first position with 2-0 record. Vaerlose at the other side keeps the second place with one game lost. SISU will meet Aabyhoj (#4) on the road in the next round. Vaerlose will play against Falcon.
