Regular Season Round 4: Bakken - Naestved 72-55

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Bakken as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Bakken defeated much higher ranked Naestved in Aarhus 72-55. The game without a history. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 22 Naestved turnovers. Strangely Naestved outrebounded Bakken 45-27 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. International swingman Chris Nielsen (192-85) fired 28 points for the winners. The former international power forward Nicolai Iversen (205-80, college: San Jose City JC) chipped in 14 points and 4 steals. American point guard Corin Henry (180-88, college: Tarleton St.) produced 15 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and the former international power forward Peter Johansen (205-80) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bakken have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Svendborg. Naestved at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. Naestved will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Bakken will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Vaerlose on the road.
