Silute used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Pakruojis 98-93 on Friday night. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 98-93. Silute looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Mantas Tamasevicius (196-86) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Guard Vitalis Pancerevas (183-87, college: Weatherford JC) chipped in 15 points and 8 assists. Forward Audrius Maneikis (203-84, college: Motlow St. CC) produced 27 points and 7 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and Ukrainian point guard Klym Artamonov (176-93) added 10 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Five Silute and four Meresta players scored in double figures. Meresta's coach Dainius Bertulis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Silute will face LKKA-Atletas in Kaunas in the next round. Meresta will play at home against the league's leader Delikatesas in Joniskis.
