We should mention about the upset which took place in Trier, where bottom-ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (0-1) was outleveled in a road game by eighteenth ranked TBB Trier (1-1) 75-56 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by TBB Trier. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven was better in third quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TBB Trier looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. TBB Trier left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Eisbaeren Bremerhaven still closes the standings with one game lost. TBB Trier will face Artland Dragons (#13) in Quakenbrueck in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will play at home against ALBA Berlin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
