Everything could happen in Istanbul at the game between two tied teams. Both leader Baskent Genclik and bottom-ranked Pertevniyal had identical 0-0 record. But Pertevniyal was not able to use a home court advantage and was outscored by the opponent from Ankara 95-72 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Baskent Genclik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Pertevniyal's players. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Baskent Genclik went down to first position due to points difference, which they share with 9 other teams. Loser Pertevniyal still closes the standings with one game lost. Baskent Genclik will face league's leader Akhisar Bld at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pertevniyal will play against Pamukkale (#7).
