Regular Season Round 3: Horsholm - Horsens 70-54

The game between third ranked Horsens (1-2) and sixth ranked Horsholm (2-1) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Horsens were defeated by Horsholm in Horsholm 54-70. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Horsholm. Horsens managed to win third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Horsholm forced 25 Horsens turnovers. It was a good game for power forward Mathilde Gilling (186-93) who led her team to a victory with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Therese Deemand (175-83, college: Binghamton) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Josefine Sorensen (171-87) answered with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and Australian guard Charmaine Furgeson (176-86) added 14 points in the effort for Horsens. Horsholm moved-up to second place, which they share with Amager and Vaerlose. Horsens at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Aabyhoj and Lemvig. Horsholm is looking forward to face Aabyhoj (#6) on the road in the next round. Horsens will play against Falcon and are hoping to win this game.
