Regular Season Round 3: Vaerlose - Falcon 65-55

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Falcon (0-3) lost on the road to fourth ranked Vaerlose (2-1) 65-55. Falcon was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Falcon was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American forward Jaimie McFarlin (180-89, college: Wash.-St.Louis) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Alberte Dokkedal (186-91) helped adding 17 points and 5 assists. Four Vaerlose players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-93) with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American center Trenice Fuller (193-87, college: Hofstra) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Vaerlose moved-up to second place, which they share with Horsholm and Amager. Falcon at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Vaerlose will play against league's second-placed Amager in Kastrup in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Falcon will play on the road against Horsens (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
