Regular Season Round 3: Halychyna - BC Odessa 68-80

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Halychyna (0-4) lost to eighth ranked BC Odessa (1-2) in Lviv 68-80. The game was mostly controlled by BC Odessa. Halychyna was better in fourth quarter 25-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Odessa had a 28-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Vincentian center Shawn King (208-82, college: ORU) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. American-Bulgarian point guard Willie Deane (188-80, college: Purdue, agency: Higher Vision Sports) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian forward George Odufuwa (203-88, college: N.Texas) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Lans Harris (195-83, college: Kansas St.) added 13 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory BC Odessa went down to ninth position due to points difference. It was Halychyna's fourth loss in a row. They still closes the standings with four games lost. BC Odessa's next round opponent will be higher ranked BC Kyiv (#6) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Halychyna will play against Ferro-ZNTU (#3) in Zaporozhye and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
