Regular Season Round 3: B.Muenchen - Walter Tigers 86-77

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Walter Tigers (0-2) were defeated on the road by eighth ranked Bayern Muenchen (2-1) 86-77 on Wednesday. Walter Tigers trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a 27-20 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 77-86 at the end of the game. Bayern Muenchen looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Walter Tigers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Serbian forward Aleksandar Nadjfeji (203-76) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Bayern Muenchen and five Walter Tigers players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Bayern Muenchen moved-up to third place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Walter Tigers still closes the standings with two games lost. Bayern Muenchen will face BG Goettingen (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Walter Tigers will play against the league's second-placed Brose Baskets (#2) in Bamberg and hope to get finally their first victory.
