Regular Season Round 4: LTi 46ers - Art.Dragons 110-109 OT

LTi 46ers' fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as they edged much higher ranked Artland Dragons (1-2) 110-109 on Saturday. Artland Dragons cut a 13-point halftime deficit to tie the game at the end of regular time. But they lost overtime period 12-13. LTi 46ers made 32-of-39 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. 33 personal fouls committed by Artland Dragons helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Maurice Jeffers (194-79, college: St.Louis) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 assists. Guard Wayne Bernard (190-81, college: Davidson, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. LTi 46ers' coach Bjoern Harmsen used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Guard David Holston (170-86, college: Chicago St.) replied with 29 points and 6 assists and swingman Anthony Hilliard (193-86, college: Elizabeth City) added 22 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Artland Dragons. Four LTi 46ers and five Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. LTi 46ers (1-3) left bottom position moving up to fifteenth place, which they share with TBB Trier. Artland Dragons at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. LTi 46ers is looking forward to face higher ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#11) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Artland Dragons will play against Walter Tigers in Tuebingen and are hoping to win this game.
